While the Levelling-Up plans focus solely on monetary investments, we recognize social investments as an integral part of community growth. With the building’s history of being a place for gathering and some form of gastronomy; The project, ‘Grub’, aims to retain the building’s identity - as a site to preserve these existing social investments, to establish a ‘transit’ space with added programs to support local traders which in turn will strengthen the community. ‘Grub’ is a nod to the existing pub, with age-friendly eateries following the ‘Farm to Table’ concept that will in turn promote the local market to encourage circular economy.
